This event aims to explore your creativity against another bot in a field of combat where brute strength and cat-like reflexes hold the key to success. The challenge is to create a robot whose sole purpose is to push, throw, flip, drag, or otherwise move your opponent out of a circular ring within three minutes.
The Arena >>
» A playfield of 120cm diameter (cut from plywood) with a 2cm white line around the field.
» The arena is divided into two parts and has two starting points in the form of a square of 15cm*15cm.

Bot Specifications >>
» Maximum dimension 15cm*15cm*20cm; (20cm being the height).
» The bot may be autonomous; remote controlled or manual.
» It can contain an onboard source of power or external power supply can be used.
» Maximum weight 2.5Kgs excluding the weight of the wires.
» A design that incorporates the stretching the bot’s body or a part is allowed.
» Maximum voltage to be used for the operation of the bot should not exceed 12V.
The Gaming Rules >>
01. The bots start at a distance of 15 cm from the centre of the arena facing opposite to each other.
02. There will be one to one knockout competition between the bots if the participants are more than 6.
03. In case the participants are less than 6 the number of matches will be decided using combination. (i.e. nC2) (where n=no. of teams present). Four teams having the highest aggregate scores will qualify for the semifinals.
04. Each round will be of 3 minutes, but the semifinal and the final shall be for 5 minutes.
05. The points will be counted a fresh for the elimination, semi-finals and the finals.
06. The wires at any point of the game should remain slack and no force should be transmitted by the participants using the connecting wires (in case of the manual robots).
07. Even if a bot flips it cannot be placed on its wheel, in that case the opponent has a chance to throw it out of the arena.
08. In the event of a bot going out of the arena; both will start from initial starting position.
09. The round will restart when the bots get locked in a position for more than 30 seconds without motion
Points >>
One point will be given when
» The bot legally forces the body of the opponent’s bot to touch the space outside the arena (i.e. the white line). Partial touches will not fetch points.
» The opponent’s bot has touched the space outside the arena on its own ( again the whole body has to touch to get the point).
» The bot flips the opponent’s bot, on its back or side, and thus causing it to be stationary.
Penalty Points >>
» Use of connecting wires to change the position of bot or assist it in anyway.(1 point will be reduced).
» Use of unfair means during the match will lead to immediate disqualification.
» Intentionally trying to damage opponent’s part e.g. motor, wires etc. will lead to disqualification.

Other Rules >>
» 220V/50 Hz standard AC supply will be provided to the participants; any adapter or device of electricity transformation has to be brought by the participants themselves.
» The bot should not contain any sucking device or glue to stick the bot on to the base.
» The bot should not have pointed edges and at any point of the game it should not damage the arena.
» Decision of the judges will be final and binding. Team can comprise of max. 4 members.
» The registration of the participants not reaching the venue before 1715hrs will be cancelled.
» Don’t assume anything. If not clear, contact the coordinators.
